Flashbox
High-speed ECU software
updates
Idea
Faulty ECU software and incorrect software states can cause costly delays in manufacturing and assembly processes. Engineers need to perform instant emergency software updates to reduce downtime. But they are met with limitations in these environments: Traditional solutions are sometimes as big as refrigerators, bound to a specific location, and allow no more than two updates at a time, at slow speeds.
Flashbox is a portable module smaller than a piece of hand luggage. It can perform high-speed software updates on multiple electronic control units simultaneously.
